Hair Removal Bodybuilding

Bodybuilding Hair Removal Methods

When a bodybuilder stands up onstage to compete he or she needs to remove all the hair covering all body-parts because it will radically diminish the ability of the judges and the spectators to see the quality and depth of the muscle presented. Some bodybuilders have genetically more body-hair than others.

There are many ways to get rid of body-hair and some will work better than others depending on how much body-hair you need to get rid of. However, it should be mentioned that because different body-parts have different amounts of hair on them, some bodybuilders would change the way they remove hair depending on the body-part.

There are many ways to get your hair on your body can be removed; we are only going to be discussing the most popular 3 ways of doing this.

1. Waxing:

Waxing is a clean and pain free way of getting rid of body-hair if you do not have a lot of hair on any certain body-part you wanted to remove hair from. Although there are many different types of body-wax you can get, the wax should not be used on a body-part that is very hairy because it's going to hurt a lot when you pull the wax off and remove the hair. If you only got only a little hair on the specific body-part you're waxing it won't hurt too much when you pull it off. The advantage of waxing is that it'll remove 95% of the usual irritation associated with hair removal and the hair won't grow back quickly because it's removed from the skin by literally pulling the hair follicle out.

2. Shaving:

Shaving is the most preferred method amongst bodybuilders for good reason; it's pain free and easy if you're using the right equipment. Obviously one would need to physically cut the hair with a pair of scissors before shaving if you are dealing with a body-part that has a lot of hair.

The problem with shaving is dealing with ingrown hairs and also developing a heat rash when cutting a growing hair follicle. Most of these issues can be solved when a good shaving product is used. It is recommended that you shave in the shower using shaving cream to make the whole process easier to manage.

3. Hair Removal Cream:

Hair removal creams are good for people with a lot of body-hair because it gets the process started quickly. However, the chances that you find a good hair removal cream that actually removes all the hair on the body-part selected is very small. Often you will be required to go over the same body-part with a razor and some decent shaving foam or cream to make sure that the body-part selected is totally free of hair is a good idea. Hair removal creams are ideal for dealing with long hairs under your arm, but make certain it's clean of hair by using a razor blade afterwards.
