Skinny Guy Workout Tips

Workout Tips for Skinny Guys

Don't want to be skinny anymore? Want to do something about your thin body and limbs? How does one get a lot bigger than one is right now? Skinny guys or hard gainers are those who have a hard time building muscle due to various reasons. It could be their diet, workout, life style, or it's just how their body works. Their approach should be different from those who intend to lose weight when it comes to work out or nutrition. The following are tips on how to build muscle for skinny guys or hard gainers, with a focus more on the workout. If you want to know how to go about your diet, you may refer to resources on how to eat like a body builder.

This may come across as a no-brainer but the first thing that you, as a skinny guy, should do is you need to go to the gym. This is not about starting to hit the gym because you probably are doing that already but this is more about facing your fears. Going to the gym surrounded by muscular men is one of the many things that most skinny guys are nervous about. Such may be the case because you tend to get intimidated by the other bigger guys who are definitely more successful at gaining muscle than you. But, fret not, for all of us started somewhere and these same guys may actually have respect for you for wanting to do something about your current flimsy build. Going to the gym means you are on a pursuit of getting rid of your skinny figure, and that is something that most gym goers would tip their hat for.

Moving forward, pick one exercise per muscle group (Chest, Back, Shoulders, Legs, Triceps, Biceps and Core) that's easy for you or refer to the workout plans that can be found in this website. Go for lighter weights and focus on getting familiarized with the proper form first. It's crucial for you to get the proper technique because this ensures that you are hitting the right muscles. It is also important to go for the comfortable weight for now because you should primarily be focusing and getting accustomed to the movement patterns. Most skinny guys assume that more weight means faster progress but this is not always the case. With the proper form, anyone (even non-skinny guys) will gain muscle faster than putting more weight. During this crucial period, try to avoid doing bad patterns because you might carry them over to your next workouts which end up not being fully optimized.

Doing the correct form can also prevent injuries, ensure proper breathing, and you will now be able to add more weight to the exercise. Once you started adding weight, make sure that you are able to perform the proper technique in the same manner you were able to with the previous weight. Depending on how your body adapts, it may take time for you to change the weight. For some, it might even be faster. If that's the case, then you can add another exercise for that specific muscle group. Before you know it, you'll see that your muscles have already grown more than you would have thought possible.
